Food, glorious food
Topsham’s only licensed cafe bar is a great place to drop into when you are feeling hungry. We are open at 8am until 8pm (and later once a month for music evenings). Come to Route 2 to breakfast, mid-morning tea and coffee, light lunches,  delicious homebaked foods, and nibbles or snacks with an excellent pint of local ale or glass of wine. You can drop in for a drink and a nibble, or for lunch or a light evening meal.

Route 2 breakfasts
Breakfast is available any time of day or evening – in fact, our famous Route 2 breakfasts, served from 8am, are equally popular throughout the day and early evening. And why not? We use fantastic sausages and bacon from our local butcher Arthurs, fresh local eggs, plus mushrooms, toast, tomato and black pudding: in other words, the full works! If you can't quite manage that, then we have the Half Route (bacon, tomato and scrambled eggs on toast), while for vegetarians we offer the Green Route, a full vegetarian 'fry up' with mushrooms, tomato, veggie sausages, fried egg on toast and baked beans. Breakfast in Topsham has never tasted better!

Local food ethos
We have a strong local food ethos, and pride ourselves on using the best local and Devon suppliers. Virtually everything served here is homemade on the premises, from our burgers, flat bread pizzas and cakes to our delicious Route 2 ice creams (Topsham mud is our most popular flavour!). There is always a selection of vegetarian foods available. Our ‘real Dutch apple pie’ is actually made by a real Dutch woman, Marion van der Giezen, who bakes it for us with local fruit in the true Dutch manner. Served with a good dollop of Devon clotted cream, it is absolutely irresistible!

Our amazing Route 2 ice cream bike is available for hire for your special event. We’ll turn up with a selection of fantastic homemade ice creams to delight you and your friends and guests.
