Cafe Lingua at Route 2

Every Thursday, Route 2 becomes 'The Café Lingua'. This is a social language club open to all, free of charge. Special menus and drinks are available. We will be working with local schools (aided by St Peters COE School, Exeter) in preparation for each week to provide work experience, real time language practice and cultural research based around traditional foods and drinks, whilst designing menus and ideas with the students.

We hope you will come and join in with family and friends to just socialise and chat in each weeks' particular language.

Each Thursday it is the turn of a different language: French, Spanish, German all take place monthly, and once a month there will be a guest language including Italian, Dutch, Mandarin. The students help to plan a menu, and then come along to help both in the kitchen and with the service, speaking in whatever language of the month it is.

Do you speak - our would you like to speak - French, Spanish, Italian or Mandarin - or any of the other guest languages we will be offering? If so, please come along. It's a relaxed, friendly way to improve your language skills effortlessly and enjoyably.
